I never cease to be amazed at the countless encounters on the spectrum of "profound" that I encounter as I spend my days with early adolescents. This week has been filled with so many that I was compelled to begin documenting some here on this blog.

I'm making a resolution to blog and journal at what is my sweet spot....that of being a modern world studies teacher to primarily gifted & talented middle-schoolers smack-dab in the middle of suburbia. I watch other folks do this about being a mom, or a super-techno teacher, or high school SS teacher, so I'm setting out to seize my own niche' in the blogosphere.
I hope some of my high school teacher friends will follow along. A former student this past fall said that AP Human Geography was like "Ms. Dawson's class on steroids!"
